Issues
No solution has yet been recognized.
Indonesia is one of the most populous countries facing HOUSING POVERTY with a backlog of 13 to 15 million homes.
Our housing crisis is exacerbated by the RAPID URBANIZATION and ENVIRONMENTAL DEGRADATION that occurs with unregulated development, displacing still more Indonesians from the outskirts of cities as well as from villages.
Lack of available land, financing, and building technology to make affordable houses are the main obstacles that prevent us from solving this problem immediately.
We may be headed for disaster if we fail to address our infrastructural problems quickly enough.
